The swamp, encompassing nearly 70,000 acres, features an abundance of wildlife, including native birds, turtles, and the infamous American Alligator.

Olde Town Slidell, considered by many to be the heart and soul of Slidell, is the 10-square-block downtown district and the town’s cultural center.
